Westway Travel Branches in Wickford, Upminster and Thorpe Bay Essex

Review websites are now an integral part of the travel industry and booking process but recent concerns about them being manipulated by service providers are a worry. By posting your comments about venues, properties and Westway Travel I can assure you of two things.

1) The right people will see them. By this I mean either you, Westway clients or other travellers will read reviews from like minded local people.
2) I will personally be following all comments and will add my thoughts to all postings.

Remember we are independent of all Tour Operators and hotels and have no bias towards any product range. It is my staffs’ job to make sure you experience the best holiday possible.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the guest book.

Hi Tina,
We had a wonderful time thank you. Everything went to plan and was just brilliant.
The Nakasendo walk was fantastic - the train journey was easy and as with everything in Japan, went like clockwork. Everyone is so helpful too - you only have to ask and they go out of their way to help. The ryokan in Tsumago was an interesting experience where we ate our very Japanese dinner in our yukatas sitting on cushions on the tatami mat floor!! They then organised a taxi for us to go to a large hotel nearby where they had a fabulous onsen.
Kyoto was brilliant and we hired bicycles to travel round on one of the days. The hotel there was literally in the middle of the park with nightingales singing in the morning. Just 5 mins walk from the Gion area which was perfect for the evenings. On one of the days, we took the local train into the mountains and did the hike to the onsen there which was great.
The 2 hotels in Tokyo were both in very good positions for us. Both were pretty tiny rooms but i think that is Tokyo for you - especially as we didnt want to spend too much !!!
From seeing the Beatles play at Abby road, a fantastic jazz band in Asakusa, singing 80s songs in a tiny bar in the Shinjuku Golden Gai and Karaoke in Ueno, we had the most wonderful holiday and thank you so much for organising it for us.

best wishes

We just wanted to thank you so much for organising out honeymoon for us, particularly Louise. Everything was perfect and thank you for letting the hotel know about the honeymoon there was a lovely bottle of prosecco when we arrived.

I would recommend the hotel, Giorgione, it was clean comfortable and a great location if you like it a bit out of the centre a few mins walk from the Rialto bridge. The breakfast was great and hotel photos on website accurate. It's a great location to get the water bus to the islands and the grand canal to st marks. It would be a bit tricky for older customers to get from the water bus to the taxi with a small suitacase as lots of steps over bridges so they would need one with a pontoon I think but for younger or fitter people it's perfect.

we can't wait to book our next holiday now with Westway we can't think of anyone better!

Just arrived back from Clearwater (Florida) and felt I should post a short message to compliment the team at your Wickford office, in particular Sarah Taylor, for organising a very successful family holiday for us for the second year in a row.
We originally came to Westway Travel for help booking what we knew would be a holiday of a lifetime to Orlando. This trip was so successful that we decided to book another trip for this year. I have to admit that we did approach Virgin holidays, purely because I can get a discount with them through my job, but their consultants and choice of accommodation failed to impress. We also approached Colchester travel in Billericay because we were passing and their office is close to our home, but once again were not impressed.
We finally took the obvious choice and returned to Sarah at your Wickford office. Right from the off we were once again impressed by her genuine desire to understand and meet our specific requirements, offering us truly inspired choices which we certainly would not have thought of ourselves that genuinely suited our needs. Once booked all our queries were answered in a timely manner even if Sarah herself was not in the office.
I would not hesitate to recommend Westway travel to my friends and family and will certainly be using them again in the future.

Hi Tina, Just a short note to say thank you for organising our trip to Australia via Kuala Lumpur. Everything worked out fine, all our tours were as described and expected, our transfers were all spot on and the hotels were great. We haven't decided on our next trip yet but will contact you when we have made up our minds where and when we want to go.
Thanks and Regards.
Ken and Gloria Howard.

We had a wonderful week in this hotel from 23rd Feb. to 2nd March, recommended by one of the travel rep's at Westway Travel Wickford.

The room was excellent, (sea view with rap around balcony overlooking the swimming pool). the hotel obviously took note of our requests made at the time of booking,(South west facing). Staff all very friendly and obliging, buffet meals were very good and varied and plenty of choice) we were B&B but did have a couple of meals in the hotel.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance if you want to eat out at night.

Bus stop right out side the hotel if you don't want to walk into Funchal.

Private transfers to and from the airport included in our package were excellent as was the access to the lounge at Gatwick.

In summary:
It is what it says in the brochure, good holiday operator & Rep. Good local travel agent.

We are considering this hotel again in May 2018. :o :o :!sun:

A very big thank you to Claire King at Westway Travel for the time and effort put into organising our amazing tour and 6 night beach stay in Vietnam.
Always friendly and helpful in looking at holiday options and completely focused on customer satisfaction, we can not praise Claire highly enough.
Westway worked in partnership with If Only and Destination Asia to tailor make our private tour. Starting in Hanoi we had a two night stay and then flew down to Da Nang for 1 night and then onto Ho An for two nights, we then had three nights in Saigon before heading to Pandanus Resort for 6 nights beach holiday.
Our guides,Tea, Hao and Hung were excellent with great local knowledge and a professional and friendly service.
We feel we gained a real insight into Vietnam's history, culture and peoples lives, a wonderful holiday with so many highlights and magical memories.
Thank you once again Claire for making this trip possible and all your hard work, you are a credit to Westway. We will be in to see you again soon with our next holiday thoughts. Well done!

Hi Sarah,
holiday was great. Couldn't really have gone better )apart from another week or 2 of course). Maui van was great and the company very good. Sat Nav they provide was really good with loads of info on it along with local sites to see and trips to do.
We did travel a lot (~ 3,300 Kms!) but its easy pleasant driving so it didn't feel like it - unlike my 70 mins on the M25 this morning.
NZ a great place to visit and out itinerary was pretty good. One detour was needed since the main road from Picton to Christchurch was still closed and it meant quite a big detour from Abel Tasmen to get there but otherwise we had no problems. Booking camp sites was easy and we did that almost day to day and never had an issue.
Weather was great all 3 weeks apart from a grey windy day in Wellington and half a days drizzle somewhere else. Very lucky to be sunny and in the 20's nearly all the time.
Only downer is the distance. It was definitely a bonus to get a direct flight Dubai to Auckland on going. Coming home via Sydney, even the short stop of a few hours, makes it a very long 2 day journey.
All in all a great time. Highlight was definitely whale watching out of Kaikura. Saw loads of whales and a 200 pod of dolphins! Great stuff. Though the harbour there suffered a lot from the recent earthquakes, meaning they are very busy dredging it out again!
Thanks for the organising etc. All went like clockwork
