Westway Travel Branches in Wickford, Upminster and Thorpe Bay Essex

Review websites are now an integral part of the travel industry and booking process but recent concerns about them being manipulated by service providers are a worry. By posting your comments about venues, properties and Westway Travel I can assure you of two things.

1) The right people will see them. By this I mean either you, Westway clients or other travellers will read reviews from like minded local people.
2) I will personally be following all comments and will add my thoughts to all postings.

Remember we are independent of all Tour Operators and hotels and have no bias towards any product range. It is my staffsí job to make sure you experience the best holiday possible.

Cyan on the plane back home to Hong Kong, I remembered my promise to come in and see you,sorry we didn't have time.I just wanted to say we had a great time. The hotel was lovely. The staff were great as was the food and the general service. We loved everything about it. We loved Rome too. It was a truly truly wonderful, unforgettable holiday and we have you to thank for that. Thank you again so much for helping us to have such a memorable 10th anniversary and such a great week.
We look forward to seeing you next year.

A big thank you to Tina and Westway Travel for a wonderful holiday. Everything was seamless and we encountered no problems.
Apartment, pools, beach, food and Aquapolis water park next door were all great. No complaints at all.
Would totally recommend Westway Travel, I have already got my next holiday booked for next Easter through them. Fantastic customer service. Thank you!!

We have returned home safely (really didn't want to come back).

Thanks for the e-mail about the airline seats, you were quite correct and everything was fine at the airport.

We have had an absolutely amazing time thanks, really was a great combination of destinations.

New York was as to be expected, crazy busy, hotel was in a great location and ticked the boxes. We had a couple of plumbing issues with the sink over couple of days, but service was great and it was fixed as soon as we called maintenance.

Mexico was paradise. I would recommend the resort highly to anyone. Every aspect was to a very high standard - house keeping, service, food and cleanliness.

Only one slight downfall - they obviously cater for weddings, and unfortunately there was a large party from Texas, around 25 - 30 people, which set camp in the Jacuzzi by the bar, drank from 10 - 9 for 4 days solid and didn't move!! It didn't cause a problem for us, they were harmless, quite loud and rowdy, but very friendly, but for a few of the older couples and families staying there, I don't think they were very impressed at all, as it really did change the atmosphere of the daytime relaxing. It made no difference to us really as we met a few couples out there and had our own celebrations (I did propose), plus we had days sitting around the beach, had days out etc.

Overall, a really good trip, thanks very much for your last minute organising, advice and booking!!

To Everybody at Westway thank you very much for not only providing us with a wonderful hotel in Sorrento but also for being completely on the ball and preventing our holiday becoming a disaster.
We planned to travel to Sorrento from Toulouse on the Saturday so when I got a call from Emma at Westway on the Friday saying that Air France were striking and our flights were cancelled I was a little concerned. I shouldn't have worried Emma and the team had already arranged replacement flights and changed the transfer time with the hotel; they even had a few very practical tips for getting about the airport where our transfer was particularly tight.
Thanks again for all your hard work and I can't thank you enough for making then rescuing our holidays.

Each of our offices has an emergency telephone number and it will be answered at any time of the day by a director or manager and they will try and help with any situation possible. The resort of Puerto Pollensa was recommended to us by Westway. The resort was perfect for our young family and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The self catering accommodation at Las Velas was excellent and the whole trip went smoothly from start to finish. The location to the beach was fantastic as Westway suggested and the atmosphere of the place was just what we were after. I feel you met our specifications perfectly.

Many thanks for all your help and we look toward to booking our next holiday with you in the near future.

Hi Cyan

Thank you we had a lovely time on Alonnisos

The apartments of Illias studios were lovely, typically Greek with small bathroom and hard bed, but one of the cleanest studios I have ever stayed in. It was very well equipped. (Not that I used the kitchen) It was a short walk to the harbour with restaurant and bars, plus supermarkets. The local beach was only 5 min walk but a bigger beach was about 30 minute walk with sun beds and umbrella for Ä6 a day. Also had bars and restaurants. To get to this beach you walked down 150 steps okay going down but gets your heart rate going coming back up. The island is beautiful and is very quite and laid back with the cleanest sea water I have ever swam in.

The down side of this holiday

Once you land in Skiathos to get to the port is 5 minute coach ride but we had to wait 4 hours for the ferry. It would have been longer but out flight was delayed by 90 minutes. The ferry crossing took about 30 to 40 minutes.

On our return we had to catch the 6.40am ferry for a 4 pm flight home this flight was also delayed by 90 minutes. On both occasions we did not know about the delay until we were sitting on the plane.

On our wait in Skiathos we were told to leave our cases in a bar this bar had loads of cases and people going up to their bags collecting what they wanted and leaving them again. In this day and age with flight and bag security anyone could tamper with the bags. I found this a bit worrying.

Ian Prior reply: Yes I can understand your concerns about baggage and timings. Some of the islands in Greece are remote and keeping control of costs sometimes means we have to wait for a ferry over the expense of a private boat or day room in hotels. I have spoken to Cyan about the booking and we will pay special attention to this should you choose anther away from it all island

Eventually made it to Alghero having had to cancel a previous trip. Hotel is in a great position overlooking the sea and is superb in every way. Quite a walk to the town and harbour but would be fine if you are younger and fitter than us.!! We went with Just Sardinia and their rep met us at the airport and kept in touch by text several times during the week. We were very impressed with this company. My usual thanks to Maxine for all she did to make this holiday really enjoyable.

Just Sardinia are one of a group of small companies that try to personalise the service they offer. So many clients feel that there are only big companies to make bookings with but in reality we work with many smaller ones. Perhaps next year we can introduce you to another of these tour operators

Emma did a great job of organising every detail of our holiday to Sorrento which made it very relaxing for us. A great hotel and excellent service throughout.
As mentioned to Emma our only comment is that it would be even better service if the Citalia rep was to meet you in person at some point at the beginning of your holiday to discuss tours, etc., rather than only having e-mail/phone contact, although this was not a problem at all because the hotel staff provided a fantastic service and covered all of our requirements

I am a real Italy lover so if you are looking for another recommendation for next year don't hesitate to let us know. I donít think you can beat the food, the culture, the friendly people and the crystal clear seas
