With its lush tropical setting, spectacular views and two unspoilt beaches, you’ll feel at one with nature at this stunningly-beautiful 600-acre resort. The focus here is on exploring your natural surroundings and enjoying the many activities on offer, from jungle biking to snorkelling and scuba diving, although you may prefer just to relax on the beach or be totally pampered in the spa. Whatever your choice, your hosts, Nick and Karolin Troubetzkoy, will ensure you have the perfect holiday experience.
Approximately 55 minutes by road from Hewanorra Airport, or 6 minutes by helicopter to the resort’s private helipad.
On a secluded bay on the south west coast, close to the town of Soufrière.
The 49 individually-designed rooms and suites feature original works of art by local and international artists. Each has a ceiling fan, shower, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary WiFi and a private verandah. Superior Hillside Rooms have panoramic views whilst Deluxe Rooms are a little larger and are located either in the gardens close to the beach or on the hillside with ocean views. The spectacular and particularly spacious Premium Hillside Rooms are highly recommended, boasting incredible views of the Pitons and ocean. Beachside Deluxe Rooms are air conditioned, whilst those on the hillside are cooled by the sea breeze. Some Deluxe and Premium Hillside Rooms feature a dramatic ‘open-walled’ design with the fourth wall open to the spectacular views. The Casuarina Piton Pool Suite features its own private pool, a spacious verandah and picturesque views; a second bedroom can also interconnect to make a fabulous two-bedroom suite. The new Beach House is a spacious one-bedroom suite with a generous terrace giving direct access to Anse Chastanet Beach.
Restaurants And Bars
The romantic, open-air Treehouse Restaurant offers a daily changing dinner menu with a focus on local, organic produce. Emerald’s features an exclusively-vegan menu whilst Trou au Diable on the beach serves lunch daily and an Indian fusion menu or a casual beach grill most evenings. There is also the Jungle Bar and Grill at Anse Mamin, the resort’s second beach.
Bed & Breakfast
The impressive sports facilities include sailing, ocean kayaking and a mountain bike centre with 12 miles of jungle biking and hiking trails. Scuba diving and snorkelling are especially popular here and the resort has a five-star PADI dive centre on site; protected, pristine reefs just off shore provide some of the best dive sites on the island. Back on land there is also a tennis court and the Kai Belté Spa which offers a wide choice of treatments as well as yoga classes.
The 100 or so steep steps between the beach, restaurant and hillside guest rooms make Anse Chastanet unsuitable for those with walking difficulties, however a resort shuttle is available. Children under 10 yrs are not permitted except between 01 July–30 September when the minimum age is 6 yrs.
