Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica

We've always been huge fans of Four Seasons, and we're delighted to add this beautiful Costa Rican resort to our collection. Perched on a narrow isthmus overlooking two gorgeous golden beaches, this is one of the most luxurious family-friendly resorts in the country, with superb facilities and a range of accommodation styles to choose from. Sophisticated dining, a championship golf course and an extensive spa mean its an attractive proposition for couples too.

Accommodation

The resort’s 181 rooms, suites, villas and estate homes have all been recently refurbished and are decorated in a sophisticated style with luxurious furnishings, rich textures and local artwork. Rooms are well appointed with one king size or two double beds, cable TV, CD/DVD player, complimentary WiFi, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and a private terrace or balcony. Terraza Rooms are on the ground floor, nestled amongst the tropical vegetation; Brisa Rooms are located on the first floor and offer partial ocean or bay views whilst Cielo Rooms are on the upper floors and boast the best views. The spacious Canopy Suites have a separate living room, generous outdoor space and private plunge pools. The three bedroom Miramar Suites open onto a large terrace with a private infinity pool and are an excellent choice for larger families. The luxurious Private Residences (some with their own plunge pool) offer a choice of one, two or three bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and extensive indoor and outdoor living/dining areas.

The 5 dining venues have been newly redesigned with a fresh approach that focuses on locally sourced organic foods. The signature restaurant offers a farm-and-sea-to-table concept and a showpiece outdoor kitchen. Guests can also enjoy an enhanced steakhouse as well as Italian and Mediterranean seafood options. To keep you refreshed there is a relaxed lobby lounge, the new Añejo bar and a library lounge serving artisanal rum and spirits.

There are 2 beautiful beaches, 4 swimming pools (including one for adults only and one children’s pool), 5 tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course and a fitness centre offering classes in aerobics, yoga and Pilates. The spa is located just above Playa Virador beach, with 18 treatment rooms, a beauty salon and an appealing menu of rejuvenating therapies. The extensive range of activities here includes snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing trips, birdwatching tours, nature hikes and cookery classes. The Kids For All Seasons programme keeps children aged 4-12 yrs busy with daily activities and games, while the Tuanis Teen Centre has a basketball court, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
