The Caribbean is renowned for great beaches, great sunshine and a gentle pace of life that lends itself to a great holiday, however choosing a holiday it isn’t as simple as it sounds. Our top tips are;
When to go? The Caribbean has decent weather most of the year but November to March is the drier peak season and when prices are higher. Want better value consider April to October when you might expect a little tropical rain in the afternoon but definitely not enough to stop you going.
Where to go? The Caribbean islands are independent countries which all offer their own culture, traditions, culinary experiences, music and colourful character.
Barbados is the most vibrant of all the islands and if you want something really different, then our favourite is Anguilla, the finest sand, the most turquoise of seas and an eating out culture that will keep you going back for years, we did. There are loads of other islands to choose from so the best thing is to give one of our specialists a call.
Where to stay?
Shown below are some of our favourite hotels but there is plenty of choice to suit all tastes and budgets from large All Inclusive resorts, to small boutique hotels and private villas. The key is understanding which location because you need to know if you can eat out or need a hotel with lots of facilities. Again, best to ask us.
The Caribbean, a tropical paradise with its azure waters and palm-fringed beaches, offers travelers a dreamlike getaway year-round.
**High Season (December to April):** The high season in the Caribbean coincides with the dry season, making it the most popular time to visit. From December to April, the weather is sunny and dry, creating perfect conditions for beach lovers and water sports enthusiasts. This is the time to visit iconic destinations like Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.
**Low Season (May to November):** The low season in the Caribbean brings warmer temperatures and occasional rain showers, as it falls within the hurricane season. However, it's an excellent time for budget-conscious travelers who can enjoy quieter beaches, discounted accommodations, and fewer crowds. This season is ideal for exploring less-visited islands and experiencing local culture.
The Caribbean's allure extends beyond its stunning beaches. Discover the vibrant culture of Trinidad and Tobago, explore the rich history of Havana in Cuba, or immerse yourself in the natural beauty of St. Lucia's Pitons. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or cultural immersion, the Caribbean islands invite you to explore their diverse landscapes and create unforgettable memories year-round.
